CDC Dog Travel Ban 2021

Dog Travel Fiasco

Our international dog travel plans collapsed overnight when the CDC dog travel ban was suddenly mandated. Beginning July 14, 2021 the CDC dog travel ban begins a temporary suspension for all dogs imported from 113 high-risk countries for rabies. Their belief is that these countries have inadequate rabies vaccination records. What we didn’t realize is that this even includes properly vaccinated dogs from the United States that are just traveling with their owners.

If you plan to travel internationally, you need to watch this video and hear about our travel fiasco! This will not only impact travelers, but also those in the military and those that work overseas. Feel free to share our video so we can get the word out and hopefully influence a change in policy. Americans deserve better, especially responsible pet owners who vaccinate their dogs. Consider subscribing to our channel for updates on this dog travel situation. Join us for more adventures as the Retirement Travelers plan to travel the world for the next 10 years, hopefully with Annie at our side for the next few years.
