The Retirement Travelers continue their retirement travel with a visit to the Colorado Springs | Manitou Incline area for some fun adventures.
The fun starts with a beautiful, yet scary, drive to the top of Pike’s Peak, known as America’s mountain. This drive is easy; although, it is lacking guard rails near the top. Just be sure to drive down in your low gear, or you will be asked to stop to allow your brakes to cool.
John then takes you on a steep hike near Manitou Springs up the Manitou Incline, which has 2768 steps and rises 2000’ in elevation in less than a mile, for some incredible views. It is one of the best hikes in Colorado Springs and best day hikes in Colorado.
They also visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, one of the best zoos in America. It’s easy to act like a kid there. The zoo allows for giraffe feeding, and also feed elephants and birds along the way.
They conclude with a short hike in the Garden of the Gods park and discuss their upcoming adventures. Don’t miss a visit to Colorado Springs | Manitou Incline. #ManitouSpringsIncline #CheyenneMountainZoo #PikesPeak
