Rocky Mountain Snow Day (RMNP) near Estes Park, Colorado
We continue our retirement travel journey as we visit Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) near Estes Park, Colorado. We start the day with hot biscuits and Grandma Bean’s homemade chocolate gravy recipe, then head to the park for some snow day fun at Bear Lake. It was one of the earliest and most significant snowfalls in recent history. We hike, make snow angels, and have a little snowball battle. We finish up in Estes Park, Colorado, eating various chocolates and drinking hot chocolate from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
It was a memorable day dedicated to both John’s mom and Bev’s mom, who cannot travel now. Follow along for more retirement travel and fun adventures, and be sure to put Estes Park, Colorado, on your bucket list. It is a great place to stay to visit Rocky Mountain National Park and have a snow day and some great memories.
