Step by Step Guide How to Transfer Chase Points to Hyatt
The most valuable travel points hack in our travels is using our Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card points to book free hotel stays at Hyatt properties around the world. We’ve found Hyatt gives the most generous rewards by allowing us to book a room using the fewest points. Many hotel chains offer rooms with points, but oftentimes they are double or triple the point value.
We have found that we can often book rooms using as little as 6500 points a night. This value is unmatched by other hotel chains. We are able to book many weeks a year of free lodging at Hyatt using our Chase points, since we pay for all of our travels using this card. The Reserve card gives us at least 3 times the points on all travel related purchases such as transportation, accommodation, and restaurants.
One of the difficult steps to accessing this huge reward is figuring out how to transfer Chase points. So, we have created this guide to walk you through the steps.
First, you must create a World of Hyatt account. You do not need to buy hotel rooms to create the account. In fact, we’ve never bought a room at Hyatt and we are currently earning status by using points to get there. So, let’s get started helping you set it up for yourself.
After you have created an account, write your account number down so that you can enter it on the Chase Reserve Website.
Step one:
To access the account, sign into your Chase Account. Click on the arrow on the upper right to open rewards.
Step two:
Open the card account here:
Step three:
Click on the Travel tab:
Step four:
Click on the Hotel tab:
Step five:
Open the Hyatt tab:
Step six:
Choose card, add World of Hyatt Account Number, and press Next.
Step seven:
Enter the amount of points to transfer, and click next.
Step eight:
Check the amounts and click Submit.
Finished!
View your confirmation page. You did it! Now, go back to World of Hyatt account and use the points to book your free hotel stays.

Great information. We are switching from Hilton to Chase & Hyatt.
It seems that the transfer option is no longer on the Chase website. Can you review and check that these instructions are still valid?

Hi John and Bev,
Love your travel school! Do you guys have a referral link for the Chase credit card?

Thanks so much. We don’t have a referral link, but appreciate the thought. Glad you are enjoying our channel and website.

Thanks for the info! The transfer was near instant.
We have used the Chase Reserve for years with varying results as far as value goes. For use with World of Hyatt, does it vary by country? I see many of their properties do not take points when I search through Europe.

Glad it was helpful. We have had so many free Hyatt stays because of the Chase card. Hope you are enjoying our YouTube channel and website.

Great info! It states that it can take up to 7 days to transfer. What time frame have you typically experienced when transferring points?

In our case, the points always transfer instantly. Perhaps if you just opened the World of Hyatt account or Chase, it might be different.
