Retirement Travelers
Train Journeys
Bucket List
“It’s not the beginning or the destination that counts. It is the ride in between…This train is alive with things that should be seen and heard. It’s a living, breathing something — you just have to want to learn its rhythm.”
~ David Baldacci, ‘The Christmas Train’
Why this Rail Journey list?
Nothing beats the rhythm of a train journey, whether it’s a butter smooth bullet train or an old clunky train from years of old. Being able to sit back, not drive, take in the views, read a book, eat in a dining car, or chat with fellow passengers is the perfect day of travel for us. Trains keep us out of airports and off highways; they connect us to the locals, and they help us live a life in another land.
