Major Attractions

Mount Washington

Mount Washington is famous for its unpredictable weather as the highest peak in the Northeastern United States. The highlight of the trip to this mountain is riding its coal-fired steam engine train, the first mountain-climbing cog railway in the world. Opened in 1869, the railway operates between May and October and has been carrying tourists for more than a century. A museum and observatory are at the top, along with a research station that studies the mountain’s peculiar weather conditions.

Conway Scenic Railroad

This heritage railroad in North Conway is a popular attraction in the region because of its stunning route. The railroad began operating in the 1970s and offers roundtrip excursions to Bartlett. These rides range from an hour to 5 hours long trips where you can have a seating choice between coach and first class. The train also provides the option of fine dining so that you can enjoy the views with some quality food!

Castle in the Clouds

This estate is one of the most visited attractions in New Hampshire for good reason. The mansion was built in 1914 and has witnessed many gatherings and weddings. In addition, the mansion features art galleries. In addition, there are hiking and walking trails, a restaurant, and a gift shop.

Mount Monadnock

The breathtaking scenes from the mountain peak make Mount Monadnock one of the best places to visit in New Hampshire. It is prominent from its surrounding landscape due to its elevation of 3,165 feet. As a result, you will have a panoramic view of the region from the top of the mountain. During summer, hiking to the summit is a popular sport among tourists. Several hiking trails accommodate hikers of all ages and experience levels.

Boulder Cave

Boulder Cave was formed due to volcanic activities millions of years ago. You may peek at the Pacific western big-eared bat as you walk through the cave. The trails here are popular among tourists, especially on the summer weekends. You can either walk on the trail with a broader view of the cave or if you are not afraid of tight spaces, you can have a more adventurous tour!
