Our whisper boat ride in the canals near Giethoorn, Netherlands, ended spectacularly. Near the end of our trip, a beautiful wild swan landed in front of us and guided us back to our starting point. We followed this beautiful animal for over twenty minutes and it took all the right turns to take us to our destination. It was something we will never forget. We had visited Amsterdam many times, but we had never ventured to this beautiful small town a couple of hours away known as the ”Venice of the Netherlands” because of all the canals woven throughout the area. It was the perfect start to our European trip and the wild swan was the perfect ending to our canal ride.
