Gilroy Taco Trail – 24 tacos in 24 hours!
We had one of our best retirement travel days during our visit to Gilroy, CA, for Taco Tuesday! The challenge was to see if we could eat one taco at every single place on the Taco Trail in one day. It was a challenge, but we did it!!! In the process, we met the most creative taco masters excited to share their creations with us. Their energy and enthusiasm for their restaurants were awe-inspiring. While Gilroy is more known as the Garlic Capital of the World, it really should be known for its tacos! If you are in San Francisco Bay Area or San Jose, make a trip to the Gilroy Taco Trail, even if it isn’t taco Tuesday. You can also visit during the Gilroy Garlic Festival, have fun at the Gilroy Gardens, or just come for some great Mexican food. Be sure to stop by the VisitGilroy location in the outlet mall or the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce downtown. Tell them the Retirement Travelers sent you!
