Panama
We loved our time in Panama City and Boquete. We highly recommend this beautiful country. Touring and learning the history of the Panama Canal was our favorite activity. We want to return to visit more islands and smaller towns.

When to go…
Panama City, Panama
Our recommendation is to visit from January-April and plan most of your activities for the morning and late evening hours. The Panama weather has afternoon temperatures that can get hot, but you won’t get the nearly daily rains from May through November.
Best Things to Do
- Take a boat ride on Panama Canal and see some monkeys
- Go to Boquete
- Visit the beautiful San Blas Islands
- Learn some history in Old Panama
- Take a day trip to Taboga Island
- Take a walk or bike ride on the Cinta Costera in Panama City
- Watch a huge container ship go through the canal at the Gatun Locks
- Try some Geisha coffee, some of the best and most expensive in the world.
Our Visit
Our month of Panama travel was filled with fun experiences thanks to these two. While we technically aren’t related to Gabriel and Layla (he’s our brother-in-law’s, uncle’s, grandson), they are family nonetheless. They were lovely to show us around Panama City and helped make the first month of our worldwide adventure special. We will always cherish our time with them both.
