We continue our retirement travel journey and visit Badlands National Park in South Dakota. Our camp was located at Cedar Pass Campground and we explored the Notch Trail, and John ran the Saddle Pass Trail early in the morning. We see a variety of wildlife, like prairie dogs, bighorn sheep, cliff swallows, and deer. Please find out how our lousy luck happens and turns out while still learning to park our Airstream travel trailer! This is one of our favorite National Parks. We loved everything this great park had to offer. Badlands NP should make everyone’s bucket list for retirement travel.
We also visited the nearly Wind Cave National Park, which is located within an hour’s drive of Badlands NP. When you consider the Black Hills State Park area, Mount Rushmore and the many other attractions in this area, this part of South Dakota is a must visit.
