If you are looking for what to do in Romania, the spectacular Corvin Castle is a great choice. It is located in Hunedoara, Transylvania, and is an easy day trip from Timisoara or Cluj Napoca in Romania. We think it is one of Romania’s ten best places to visit. It is also known as Castelul Corvinilor, and was built in the 15th century and is a Gothic-Renaissance castle. It is one of the largest European castles and one of the Seven Wonders of Romania. Legend has it that Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Dracula by Bram Stoker, was imprisoned in the castle’s dungeon and eventually lost his mind there. Corvin’s Castle should definitely be on your Romania bucket list.
