Lake Atitlan is one of our favorite places in the world. Despite getting a little surprised by the scary dog, we loved our visit to this mile high paradise in the mountains of Guatemala. On another day we took a water taxi around to the various villages on the lake. Many of the towns are only accessible by boat, because the mountains are so steep going down into the lake and there are very few roads. Check out our video of the boat ride.
