San Juan La Laguna has coffee, chocolate, textiles, friendly people and more! We had the absolute best tour guide in the world. She showed us around the city and were able to visit most of the best attractions around town. We truly enjoyed our visit in this beautiful Guatemalan city, especially the tour of the chocolate store, learning to make chocolate and drinking some of the chocolate rum. We also visited the local textile production facility. Lake Atitlan has many wonderful villages and towns, but San Juan La Laguna was probably our favorite. Be sure to add Lake Atitlan to your travel bucket list.

Relaxing in hammocks with views of volcanoes in the background was another favorite. On one occasion, we did get a big surprise from one of the local dogs. Check out that video short here.
