Morgantown, West Virginia, is a special place to us because John graduated from West Virginia University, and we have returned many times for football and basketball games. It is the third largest city in the state of West Virginia. This hilly college town is in the beautiful Mountain State and sits along the shores of the Monongahela River. It offers a wide variety of upscale dining rooms, budget-friendly Morgantown restaurants, neighborhood bistros, family-owned eateries, spirited pubs, and authentic tastes from around the world. The Mountain State Brewing Co. is one of West Virginia’s oldest microbreweries. They specialize in wood-fired artisan flatbreads, a selection of excellent bar food, and some signature house beers. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with mountain views in a low-key pub setting.  We think this is one of the best places to eat in Morgantown.
